The 8Pack Frame R8 is the latest innovation from Ian "8Pack" Parry. 8Pack has collaborated with the new startup Creative Solutions For Gamers to create a truly unique PC.
CSFG have developed a new method to wall mount an entire PC. While wall mounting has become increasingly popular among hardcore enthusiasts, few manufacturers have to date attempted to use this novel form factor. However 8Pack and CSFG were up for the challenge and have succeeded in creating a remarkable and robust chassis with the Frame R8.
Many enthusiasts take pride in carefully assembling components and illumination to make the interior of their PC a 'work of art'. But with the Frame R8 you can now exhibit your PC like a fine painting.
Using CSFG's Crow model as a base, 8Pack has created a powerful, fine-tuned gaming system. CSFG have also ensured that components such as distroplate have been customised to meet the Frame R8's requirements.
It's not just the aesthetics though that make the Frame R8 unique. This is 8Pack's first 'full' AMD system - using both an AMD CPU and GPU. While the competition between the major CPU and GPU manufacturers is always fierce, for this build 8Pack decided the time was right to go all in with AMD. 8Pack is committed to using the best hardware available irrespective of brand name.
This would not be an authentic 8Pack PC if it wasn't also a great performer. As mentioned above, the Frame R8 features the latest innovative AMD hardware. To ensure the Frame R8 is suitably powerful 8Pack has purposefully chosen an AMD 7950X 16 Core, 32 Thread CPU which he overclocks TWICE! The system will dynamically switch between two overclock profiles depending on how many cores your applications are using. 8Pack has created a static overclock profile for maximum all core performance, but when you're not the full range of cores, a PBO2 profile has been created. PBO2 is an intelligent software which uses a manually optimised power curve to boost the CPU as high as it can based on how many cores are in use.
This processor makes use of AMD "Zen 4" Core Architecture, guaranteeing outstanding performance. It also makes use of AMD StoreMI Technology to reduce load times, while also improving boot times, file management, or overall system responsiveness. It has a Ryzen™ VR-Ready Premium certification and users can adjust overclocking settings with the AMD Master Utility.
As well as that, an overclocked AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX is integrated into the Frame R8. The perfect GPU for enthusiasts it is powered by AMD RDNA™ 3 architecture, which ensures vivid visuals and truly immersive gaming experiences. These effects are yet further enhanced by AMD FidelityFX and Radeon™ Image Sharpening. Naturally it features AMD FreeSync™ Technology3 to prevent tearing and stuttering in order to ensure smooth graphics. Since this is a complete AMD build users can use Radeon™ Software Performance Tuning Presets to customise their system to their preferences.
At the heart of this build is an Asus ROG X670E Crosshair Hero. A highly coveted motherboard this is exactly the kind of advanced hardware you can expect to see in the Frame R8. It is prized due to excellent power delivery and thermal design, which makes it a great base for extreme overclocking. Other great features include 12 USB ports, easy to use BIOS, and illumination controls, as well as excellent audio output.
Similarly in respect to memory the Frame R8 includes Corsair's latest Ryzen tuned DDR5 32GB 6000MHz Memory, which is further tuned by 8pack to deliver aggressive latencies for maximum performance. Users can expect the same quality when it comes to storage in the form of two 1TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe Drives. This means ultra-quick access times and minimal loading times.
The most striking aspect of the Frame R8 is that it is wall mountable. While a variety of aesthetic innovations have been made over the years - from the inclusion of tempered glass panels, to new and creative ways to illuminate your PC - there is nothing else like the Frame R8 on the market right now.
The Frame R8 is presented as a true work of art, hung on the wall like a fine Picasso or Van Gogh. The only thing separating you from the hardware is a secure tempered glass panel to protect the PC.
To make this possible, CSFG put considerable time and all their engineering skill into developing the chassis. The Frame R8 is based on CSFG's own Crow case, but fused with 8Pack's extensive knowledge of extreme PC overclocking to create a PC as powerful as it is aesthetically pleasing. Even the flight case it's shipped in has been designed to ensure everything is delivered in one piece.
Illumination is clearly an important element here, too. Individual components can be easily adjusted via software, and users can request different Mayhems Fluid and specific custom braided cables to match their desired aesthetic. By default, however, 8Pack has gone with AMD red, a tribute to the fact this is 8Pack's first full AMD build.
Aside from all the aesthetic charms, and raw power of the Frame R8, the unequalled PC is underpinned by a well-thought-out and effective cooling system. Outstanding custom EK Water blocks are a core feature as well as Mayhems Fluid's proprietary blended coolant. CSFG have also made an important contribution here, with custom distroplates purpose built for the Frame R8.
The PSU is no slouch either, being an ASUS ROG Thor 850 with custom braided cables. This PSU has 80+ Platinum certification for energy efficiency and is built with 100% Japanese capacitors for stability and durability. An OLED status screen rounds out the Thor 850, giving users yet more information on up-to-the-minute system health.
Additionally, the Frame R8's unique design means components will have access to substantial ambient air, which just keeps things even cooler.
