by IanThe build is excellent, the cable management, the way the card is mounted vertically, the CPU cooler with programmable led matrix, all goes together to make the unit look awesome. It all came packaged up in a massive box, all the boxes and accessories that were not used in the build were included, I even got the metal 'Republic Of Gamers' metal ring. I mention this because in my mind I was sure all the components would have been bulk buy OEM components, but hell no all this was made from retail boxed so I got all the little extras you would if you bought all the parts yourself. The computer is quite quiet too, you can hear the whine of the pump a little but its not loud, and the fans kick in and out as needed, but again it's not loud at all compared to other computers I have had in the past. Out of the box the machine just worked, windows activation is done via a Microsoft account - so don't be expecting a serial number, you just create a Microsoft account (that's how M$ do it these days) and then you activate it - job done. If it does not you just click the trouble shoot activation and that it fixes it. Performance wise; coming from a GTX1070OC i5-7400 to a RTX4090OC i9-13900 is quite literally breath taking. It runs all my apps and games at full settings at full whack (1080p). There has not been anything that I have thrown at it that it can't handle yet! A pro tip is to upgrade from Home edition Windows 11 to Pro edition at purchase, I wish I had, as I found out the machine is very capable to running virtualisation software called Hyper-V but is only available in Pro and above versions of windows - this could save you some money later on if you need a VM. Support wise is also excellent, I had to call regarding the Alan Wake 2 code, the supplied code was not in the correct format - but support was very helpful and sorted it out with no hassle at all. The phone lines are busy and you might get quite a wait, but support via email is quite fast and professional. All in all I am very happy with my purchases - I bought 3 machines (different types) and thus far have been very happy with them - well done to OCUK.
